Quay walls

Over the years, we have designed self-driving formwork carriages for various L-shaped quay walls. At Euromax in the Yangtze harbour, Eemshaven and on the Second Maasvlakte, floor and walls were poured in one go. For every pour of 25 to 32 metres, just under 1,000 cubic metres of concrete were processed.
During the construction of Scaldia harbour, a remote-controlled – and largely hydraulic – formwork carriage was used. This made it possible to pour 32 metres of wall and relief floor of the quay wall in one go, twice a week.
Every formwork carriage is fitted with excellent safety provisions such as wide, fixed steps and spacious platforms, lighting and tested landings. Delivery is subject to CE standards.
